BACK........how was your Thanksgiving???

Sup ya'll.... So i'm Back!!! and in full effect! ^-^
So for thanksgiving we went to my hubbies mom's place in Fort Jones.

It was a 5-6 hr drive from the Bay Area, but the drive wasn't too bad. Not much traffic and the gas was really cheap too!! I was totally surprised!

This is the view from her front porch...this time around there was no snow in sight, but it was really cold. I think somewhere in the mid 30's..


There are too many pics to post so I've added it on a slide deck.

We didn't do much but veg out and watch movies and sit by the fire place.
We ate alot too.... :( So I'll be on the tread mill everyday until we head to Hawaii.

Foot Pad Thingys

Ok ya'll, so the other nite I tried out those detox foot thingys and this is the results!

The packaging on this on was cute! hehe
It was a chamomile scent.

So I stuck this babies on....and went to bed. I usually have to wear socks to bed but because I had these things on, I didn't feel the need to put them on.

It was wierd, I had a hard time falling asleep, I guess cuz I was thinking about the foot thingys.. HAHHAHAH... I finaly knocked out 30 mintues later. When I woke up I was excited to see the results and see if I felt different.....and here you go TADA...

Gross right!!!??
So I have heard that this is a waste and a hoax.... and you know, I don't like to judge things until I try it out myself. I dont' think it pulled out any thing from me. It's like scented powder in the pouch and when it gets wet/moist by your body heat or sweat while you sleep and you get the results above. That's pretty much what it is.
I did feel energic but I don't know if it was because I was just having a good day and had coffee for the first time in three weeks.
So yeah...my final verdict..it was a waste... but fun to try out. HAHAHHA
It was only $1.35 so it wasn't much. Would I repurchase it... Highly doubt it. Unless.. I'm really sick and I want to do another test and see if it does anything for my illness.. HAHHAA.. ^-^
You never know...plus the mind loves to believe that certain things have powers!!!

Exploring Products

On Saturday we stopped to get some sandwiches and there happen to be a Rite-Aid next door, so of course I had to stop in and see if they had any goodies on sale, or just simply some goodies.
I've seen this in the store and figured I would give it a shot.
It's the Ardell heating eyelash curler.


Before

I just had to wait a few seconds for the pad to get warm.


After

I'm not sure if it curled it funny and crooked because my lashes were to long or what, but the curler was not tight enough on the grip and it kept moving forward and gave my lashes this weird curl.

Maybe it would work better on shorter lashes?This product just gave me crooked lashes.
I have to say though that the parts that it did curled stayed curled all day long.
I don't think I can recommend this to anyone. :(
A regular lash curler will give you the same effect without the funky crooked lashes.

My Mac purple gel liner dried up, so I figured since I need to get another one, I would try this out.

It was very watery and I had to apply it a couple of times.
Sorry to say I won't be repurchasing this again. :(
I'll be going back to Mac to repurchase the Macroviolet fluidline.


You have make sure you really close that lid tight or you'll end up with this:

And you don't want that dried up useless stuff.
Bobby Brown has a really good gel liner too and it really stays put, but the purple was to dark in my opinion. You couldn't really see the purple, the Mac fluid line is more vibrant.

A little goes a long way!!! It's very bright and pigmented. Two thumb up!!


SUNDAY... it was a beautiful day in SF, so my sister and I headed to Japan Town.



And I had to stop at the Ichiban Store ^-^

The store I was hoping to get the stuff xppinkx suggested was closed... I was sooo bummed.. :( But I was able to find something similar at the Iciban store. Hopefully this will do the trick!!
(crossing my fingers) This is the egg face mask thingy...for my blackheads.

And this is the grapefruit cleansing foam. I'll have to give this a good weeks' worth and I'll let you know how it rates.

I also had to stock up on my fave car freshener

I thought this was cute and it would help keep my hair out of my face while I wash my face! ^_^

I've seen these around and I've seen quick commercials on this and I was really curious, so I figured what the heck and got it.

I'm going to try it tonite.. hehhe Has anyone tried this??? Let me know what you thought.

Boots anyone??

Work was really slow again and since I needed to return something I headed to the mall for lunch. I've been in search for some really cute rainboots and I came cross these...
Even the box was cute!!



These boots will match my Lesport bags!!! yay high five!!

I also got these and they were on SALE!!! yay give me one more on top!!! ^-^

You can wear it long or fold it for the booty look! Can't wait to wear them with tights or something.


So I'm loving my new nail cover. It's Sinful Colors and I got this at Walgreens.
The quality is pretty great. I can wash dishes and stuff and it last for a long while.
And for $1.99 you can't beat that with a bat!!


I had to use the flash because the color was not showing. But with the flash it's pretty close to the actual color.

I'll put the dark purple away for now. ^_^

Lip Balms

I love my carmex, so when I saw that they prettied it up and put it in a nice lipstick form I had to give it a try. It was on sale as well 2 for$5 but I fought the spending monster and just got one. Still on sale for $2.99 instead of $3.99 ( like how I still try to justify my spending?) hahahha

I love how it is very cute and sanitary. I usually get the one in the jar and I hate how I have to always wash my hands before I apply it. That's the only downer to it.

The one thing that seems to be missing in this new version is that it doesn't have the same texture and smell as in the jar one. It's more matte and seems to be a little thicker.
I guess it's because of the added ingredients like, SPF and vitamin E.
I personally like the jar version better, I like the smell of it. That medicine smell.... (yes, I'm a weird one)
Maybe when I'm done with it I'll fill it with the jar version one and see how that goes. ^_^ And I'll have the best of two worlds!!!
I also got some fun lip balms... who can pass up strawberry-banana smelling lips??? Not I!!

This wasn't on sale but I had to grab it. These take me back to elementary school, when I thought I was the shit for having lip stick, when in fact it was just lip balm. HAHHAHHAHA

OH.. and I returned that Almay - bronzed shimmer lip gloss.... I couldn't stand the smell...gross... who wants the smell of old wood on their lips?? eww.
When I returned it, the lady asked what was wrong with it, and I told her this: "it smells like old wood, is that why it was on sale???" She looked at me all weird. I opened it and made her smell it and she made this funny ass face... hahahhahah, She was like, "yeah this is bad." I just smile and said yeah. But in my head, I was like "duh, do you actually think I would return something just for the hell of it?? Arh..

I hate it when the clerks give you this look when you return stuff. Like you're stealing something.... do you guys ever get that feeling??? or is it just me??
